Nicola
interior designed our beautiful new holiday home in Port Isaac. She
was able to look after all the project management herself, dealing personally
with any problems that arose, without our needing to travel down from
London to check on progress. We communicated by email and by phone and
only actually met her once the project was largely completed.
She was
very keen to learn about our likes and dislikes, quick to take on board
our tastes and did not attempt to impose a particular style on us. She
delivered on time and on budget. She looked for good value as well as
quality and great style. She uses local tradesmen, craftsmen and artists
and is very much part of the community here.
The house
definitely has the wow factor and now Nicola is working her magic on
the garden. We have her in mind to redesign our daughters rooms in London
and can certainly recommend her.

We
briefed Nicola to interior designer our holiday home in Cornwall. We
were a bit vague but immediately Nicola grasped the look we wanted and
produced 2 mood boards for us. Nicola made some excellent curtains and
blinds for us, sourced our furniture, lighting, bathroom tiles, rugs
etc. with a real eye for detail for the items that really make a difference.
What
really made the difference to us was that Nicola project managed the
whole process remotely using her own initiative. We completely trusted
it would all be done and we knew we had nothing to worry about.

Nicola
was recommended to me when I first moved to the outskirts of Port Isaac,
Cornwall in 2002. She designed, made and fitted roman blinds throughout
my new build house, choosing a natural sympathetic fabric to fit in
with the style of the house and its rural surroundings. I moved to a
large, Victorian property in the heart of Port Isaac in 2004 and since
then Nicola has advised me on soft furnishings throughout. I particularly
love the blinds and matching accessories she designed and made for 2
very quirky dormer windows in the 2 bedrooms on the top floor, built
into the roof space. Nicola has a natural flair for colour, texture
and design and is good at suggesting ideas based an understanding peoples'
personal needs, and adapting to the wide variety of properties in Cornwall.
Nicola's service is very personal and she is always very responsive,
and having seen her work in many other properties as well as my own
would not hesitate to recommend her.

I recently
had some blinds designed and made by Nicola Vickery. As we live quite
some distance from each other, Nicola suggested I take a photo of the
windows or video of the room and send that to her. I did both and gave
measurements for the windows in each room. She was able to come up with
a really elegant design that suited the mood of the rooms, and the blinds
came beautifully made and fitted perfectly. I was extremely pleased
with her work and would recommend her highly.
